Why Gain A Flight Instructor Rating?

A flight instructor rating is one of many gateways available to you into a career as a professional pilot.  Many commercial pilots around the world started their long and rewarding careers as a flight instructor, and gained many hours of invaluable experience and knowledge from this worthwhile and fulfilling occupation.

The benefits of becoming a flight instructor are many. As well as a career option in its own right, with the ability to progress to Category ‘B’ Flight Instructor and ultimately a Category ‘A’ Flight Examiner if desired, airlines and operators hold the experience and hours gained as a flight instructor in high regard.

What We Can Offer You.

Here at RidgeAir BASE FLIGHT TRAINING (Blenheim) we offer a fully timetabled Category C Flight Instructor Rating Course. With only 2 students per intake the course is designed to maximise instructor / student collaboration. Each intake will be provided with a full-time dedicated instructor, always available to you, which means no sitting around waiting for instructor or aircraft availability. Our accelerated course also makes the most of your time, and will see you graduate in a period measured in weeks, as opposed to many months, whilst of course maintaining the highest of standards in a professional aviation environment. Most importantly though, you’re more than just a number to us!

We not only offer you a Category C Instructor Rating (with supervision), but we can also offer you the prospects for advancement and experience in a VFR/IFR single and multi-engine Part 135 Air Transport Operation.

THIS IS NOT JUST A RATING, BUT A PATHWAY TO A CAREER IN PROFESSIONAL AVIATION, WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN VALUABLE INSTRUCTOR & ATO EXPERIENCE.
